Machined work pieces, regardless of how large they are, always need to be measured with a high degree of precision to verify work accuracy.
However, highly precise measurement of larger work pieces is extremely difficult.
At YASDA, large granite level blocks with precise dimensions are available for flatness testing. A large work piece can be set and measured on these blocks.
Our large granite level blocks are available in the following sizes and with the following flatness tolerances.

　　・3500×3500×1000mm　　Within 5 microns
　　・2500×2400× 600 mm　　Within 3 microns


Our sophisticated lapping technique has enabled us to fabricate super-high-precision granite level blocks. Our testing laboratory has a solid floor construction capable of supporting securely a massive granite level block weighing 38 metric tons, as well as many other features such as an impermeable layer that prevents underground moisture penetrating the concrete, underground thermal insulation and protection against hot and cool thermal energy radiation.

Large work pieces that we machine are all shipped with a test report. You can also order our flatness test service for work pieces machined by third parties.
